Cebu Ferry 01
 |
Cebu Ferry 01 is one of
the mid-size, luxury class, passenger and freight ferries that ply the
longer routes between major ports of call in the Philippines. This
ship cuts a serious wake in the water and turns what would be an
epic 12 to 14 hour voyage on an average Ro-Ro into an pleasant 7
hour cruise.
|
 |
Our accommodations on the
ferry are semi-private cabins. The cabins will accommodate groups of
up to 6 and allow us to enjoy our first trip together. The cabins
are air-conditioned quarters equipped with bunk beds w/ privacy
curtains, cable TV and a private toilet and bath. Pillows and
complete linens are provided. |
 |
Cebu Ferry 01 is equipped
with a number of facilities to make your ferry ride more enjoyable
including:
 |
Sun Deck - A great place to have your
morning coffee and enjoy an early morning walk with a
majestic view of the Sulu Sea, the shoreline of Siquijor & Negros
and the famous Philippine sun rise. All of this can be seen as we
approach Dumaguete. |
 |
Horizon Café - This is the ships
restaurant. Good by ferry standards, but we will opt to have our
breakfast in Dumaguete where the food quality is much better |
 |
Island Fiesta - The Island Fiesta is a
small canteen type food bar with a wide variety of food products to
enjoy. It is located at the Sun Deck of the vessel with a Videoke
bar in the evening. This area is generally open until the the wee
hours of the morning. You will come to see very fast that Filipinos
love their Videoke. |
 |
Quick Mart - If we run out of snacks or
important toiletries, we're covered. Quick Mart offers a wide range
of products that you need during your travel. We will already have
our basic needs covered in our cabins but if we run out of anything,
it is easily replenished. |
 |
Clinic - We have a resident doctor
available 24 x 7 that can provide you with essential medical and
first-aid care. Lets hope no one needs these services but between
our own corpsman and the ferry clinic, we definitely have any
medical need covered. |
|
 |
If you are prone to becoming seasick,
you should have no worries. This is a large vessel and the Sulu Sea
is very calm. I doubt very seriously if you will feel any motion at
all while we are in route. |
 |
The morning approach to Dumaguete is
truly a panoramic photo op. Be sure to rise out of your bunks early
with your video camera batteries fully charged.
