Island Motor Tours, Inc. welcomes you to the stress free world of the
Philippines, an island paradise of unimaginable beauty, tranquility and
simplicity. We offer luxurious, all-inclusive guided motorcycle tours of
the Philippine Islands in 10 to 14 day tour packages for
as little as 164,720
per couple (2 people, 1 motorcycle) including motorcycle rental, luxury
resort accommodations, all you can eat meals, ferry crossings and daily
group activities (island hopping, snorkeling, touring, etc). For those
of you who are already planning a trip to Butuan, we offer 12 hour
day tours to
Camiguin Island and Surigao for as little as 5,000
(2 people, 1 motorcycle). Island
Motor Tours, Inc. is family owned and operated by Dan & Riza Bailey, an
American & Filipina couple who also serve as the tour guides on each and
every tour
we operate. More
information about
Island Motor Tours, Inc. and Dan & Riza can be found on the
ABOUT Us page.
Our tours will take you off the beaten path. We show you the true beauty
of the Philippine islands and the humble simplicity of the native Filipino culture.
Exotic destinations known world wide such as
Boracay,
Siquijor,
Bohol,
Siargao
and Camiguin are all in our itineraries as are the other major islands
of Cebu, Leyte,
Panay,
Negros and
Mindanao. We
will take you to all the cultural attractions and historical sites, as
well as to some of the most beautiful and tranquil beaches you could
imagine. But rest assured, there will be
plenty of free time for you to do your own exploring and engage in the
many activities to be found here like nature hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, water sports, shopping the public markets and malls, hitting the night spots or simply relaxing on the beach. Unlike other tour operators, we
do not herd you around like a flock of sheep or keep you bound by a
short leash. During the time we are not
traveling from one destination point to another, you are always free to
take off on your motorcycle and explore on your own, engage in the group
tours and activities we have arranged or simply sit back on the beach,
sip on a mango shake and indulge
yourself in the intoxicating romance of the moment. For more information
about our specific tour destinations and itineraries,
please view our
TOUR SELECTION page.
In our travels of the islands, we have found all the best luxury resorts
and restaurants, and since all meals are included in the package cost, we
encourage you to make every meal a feast. We reserve only the finest
rooms for you at these resorts and we can assure you that the resort
staff will take exceptional pains to ensure you are treated like royalty
during your stay. At the restaurants we visit, you will generally have a
selection of American, Italian and/or native Filipino cuisine which consists mainly of
seafood, pork and chicken that
is grilled, fried or cooked into a variety of stews, soups or stir-fried
dishes. The seafood here is truly fresh and is readily available sushi style
if you prefer.
Almost
all vegetables here are organically grown, ripened in the field and delivered
daily to the public markets from local farms. Most enticing of all is
the
abundance and variety of tropical fruits that are almost impossible
to find in North America and Europe. The Philippines are known world
wide for having the sweetest mangos, papayas, bananas and pineapples, but one
should not forget about the lesser known but equally delicious tambis,
mangosteen, durian, lanzones, balingbing (star fruit), rambotan and
santol. All of
these culinary delights are awaiting you in the Philippines, and it is
our pleasure to bring them to you. More information about restaurant
cuisine and resort amenities can be found on the
CUISINE & LODGING page. Bon apatite !!!
We offer 2 classes of tours designed to meet the needs and desires of
the tour group. Our most popular and also the least expensive are the
un-escorted tours. On these tours, we strap-on our bags and hit the
road, ready for fun, excitement and adventure. The luggage rack we have
installed will easily carry the largest of suitcases and any additional
souvenirs you collect along the way. For large tour groups and those who
want an added level of convenience and security, we offer
escorted tours where we are followed by a chase van with a tour staff
consisting of a paramedic, mechanic and armed security guard. Our chase
vehicle will easily carry the baggage of all tour guests, doubles as an ambulance should the need arise and will also easily carry
a motorcycle if an unexpected breakdown occurs that cannot be fixed on
the roadside by our mechanic. While the cost of bringing the chase van
and tour staff is fairly significant with small tour groups, the cost is
easily absorbed into larger groups of 5-6 motorcycles, resulting in an
additional cost of less than $40/motorcycle per day. For more info on our support services, please view our
SECURITY & FIRST AID page.
The motorcycles we use are the brand new 2009 model, 200cc Kawasaki
Rouser. These bikes are a new release in the Philippines and are about
the largest engine displacement you will find here. Equipped with 2
spark plugs per cylinder and an engine oil cooler, the Rouser runs
strong, hard & long and is very easy to maneuver. Tubeless tires and
gas filled Nitrox shocks give a smooth and stable ride over the
sometimes uneven concrete roads. When it comes to power, reliability, comfort and
maneuverability, the Rouser 200 wins hands down in all aspects. If you
want to ride a motorcycle in the Philippines, it doesn't get any better
than this. More information
about the Kawasaki Rouser 200 and what mods we have made to these bikes
can be found on THE MOTORCYCLES page.
Keeping your
personal comfort and safety in mind, we suggest that you bring your
own helmet and rain suit since the quality and selection of these items
here is very lacking. Your regular motorcycle operators license is valid here
for 90 days so there is no need to go thru the red tape and expense of
obtaining an international drivers license and your insurance is
included into the package cost. No special VISA is required to enter the
Philippines as a tourist, just your valid passport and a round trip
airplane ticket with a departure date 21 days or less from your date of
arrival. More information about what
you will need to do in preparation for your tour can be found on the
PREPARE FOR YOUR TOUR page.
