Paras Beach Resort - Camiguin Island
 |
Paras
Beach Resort is just a short ride from the capital town of
Mambajao and a three minute boat ride away from the crystal
clear blue waters and white sand beaches of the famous white
island. Originally built as a private beach house of the Paras
family, Paras Beach Resort has become a landmark of comfort and
convenience in the island paradise of Camiguin. Since its
opening in March of 1995, Paras Beach Resort has catered to both
local and foreign tourists. Private companies and Government
agencies also patronize the resort for their out of town
seminars and conferences. |
 |
Same as
with every other resort where we stay, we go after the best
rooms Paras Beach Resort offers. Paras Beach Resort has
 |
1 deluxe cottage situated
poolside with cable TV, telephone, refrigerator, 2
private bedrooms with 2 private toilets and baths, 4
additional bunk beds, fully air-conditioned (good for 2
couples) |
 |
1 standard cottage, slightly
smaller than the deluxe cottage with no bunk beds, also
situated poolside with the same amenities of cable TV,
telephone, refrigerator, 2 private bedrooms with 2
private toilets and baths, fully air-conditioned (also
good for 2 couples) |
 |
1 family suite room that is
air-conditioned with hot & cold shower, cable TV,
telephone, refrigerator and 2 queen sized beds (good for
1 couple) |
 |
2 standard suite rooms that
are air conditioned with hot & cold shower, cable TV,
telephone, refrigerator, 1 queen size bed and 1 single
bed (each room good for 1 couple) |
 |
10 family rooms that are 2
level and are air-conditioned with hot & cold shower,
cable TV, telephone, 2 queen size beds (one in the loft
and one downstairs) and 1 sofa bed. (good for one couple
each) |
|
 |
Our
priority in reserving the rooms is top to bottom on the list
above. Most of the time we are able to get all cottages and
suites but sometimes, advance bookings limit our ability to get
the cottages and suites and we have to fall back on the family
rooms. Regardless of the rooms we are able to get, they are all
very nice and more than adequately outfitted. |
 |
Paras
Beach Resort is fully equipped for numerous social and
recreational activities including billiards, darts and a fully
stocked poolside bar. In addition to this, Paras Beach Resort
has their own outrigger boats and dive center that service and
outfits our island hopping and snorkeling adventures as well as
jet ski and power boat rentals and para-sailing. Our tour
activities do not include the jet ski, power boat or para-sailing
options but you are free to utilize these resources as your
budget, and nerve allows. |
 |
The
resort really has no beach front, instead having a seawall,
although there is a small black sand section of beach (due to
the volcanoes on the island) accessible in the cove where the
boats are moored. There is good snorkeling right at the
immediate shoreline, without traveling out to White Island or to
the sunken cemetery. |
 |
The
restaurant at Paras Beach Resort has a very diverse menu of
native and international dishes and deserts and is situated
adjacent to the pool and beach with open walls that lend a nice
view while dining. |
 |
Aside
from having absolutely prime location on this island, I
especially like all of the "chill-out" spots Paras has created
at their resort including the huge gazebo on stilts. All-in-all,
this is another very nice Filipino resort and we hare happy to
be able to use their resort on our tours.
