Cherinicole Beach Resort is located on the Pacific Ocean side of the Island of Siargao and is conveniently located within walking distance from the town of General Luna. "GL" is the main town of Siargao where all the surfing resorts are located. The resort's location is very accessible to the open market, churches, main boulevard, karaoke bars, local restaurants and more.

The rooms at Cherinicole are comfortable yet a bit on the humble side as far as appointments go but do include hot/cold water showers and A/C. This is, however, most definitely the most luxurious resort you will find in the General Luna area that is close to everything and has more than 4 rooms with hot water, A/C and nice sized beds. Siargao is world renown as a surfing hot-spot and not for its world class resorts since surfers tend to travel on a tight budget. All-in-all, this is a nice resort with an exotic ambiance. There are a few very high end resorts in the area but, again, these are very small having only 6 to 10 rooms in the entire resort and all are situated on the surrounding smaller islands making their proximity to everything else very limiting to your ability to take off on your own and do whatever strikes your fancy. Most of them also require a mandatory 3 night stay.

The Cherinicole Beach Resort is minutes away from the much acclaimed surfing site “Cloud Nine” (9 meter, 30ft. waves) which is considered one of the top 5 surfing hotspots in the world and has the most perfect break for tournament surfers.

All things considered, the resort has a very relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant has good food and a good selection of native and western entrees, the rooms are comfortable enough, the staff is very friendly & eager to cater to your needs and its location is prime to hit the waves and the local night spots as well as the public market and downtown shops. We do not necessarily feel pampered here, but then again we are also not riding Harleys !
