Most of our tours are
operated without a chase van or support staff. We find there is little
need for these amenities, especially when the tour group is 4
motorcycles or less. Some people, however, may feel more comfortable
having the peace of mind in knowing that our security guard, paramedic
and mechanic are keeping a watchful eye out over the tour group and are
ready to spring into action if needed.
On our lone rider's tours
and for tour groups of 4 or less motorcycles, the security issue becomes
less significant as well as the potential for road and medical
emergencies. As a cost saving measure, we do not employ the chase van
and tour staff on groups of 4 or less motorcycles unless it is
specifically requested.

Baggage & Souvenir Storage
 |
Our chase vehicle is an excellent
storage yard that will easily hold our support staff as well as
the baggage of 12 tour guests and the numerous souvenirs they
acquire along the way. When we are enjoying the sites, our chase
vehicle is locked and guarded at all times to protect your
valuables. When traveling in a group of 5 or more motorcycles,
this becomes a much appreciated amenity and the additional
expense of bringing the van and staff is much easier to absorb.

Medical Emergencies, First Aid and
Preventative Medicine
 |
Our
paramedic ensures our tour guests are
adequately protected from the direct rays of the tropical sun during
our rides and outdoor activities. Although the temperature here is
similar to that which you would experience along the beaches from
Virginia to Florida, the sun is definitely much more powerful.
Adequate protection from prolonged exposure to the sun is a must. |
 |
Lastly, our
paramedic is always on call
to treat any illness or nuisance injury you might develop while touring such as
diarrhea, sinus infections, upset stomachs, headaches, jellyfish
stings, etc. The last thing you or we both want to happen while you
are our guests here is for you to be sidelined and out of the
action. I have lived here for almost 3 years now and I have
experienced just about every nuisance ailment you can think of
including all those previously mentioned. All are easily treated and
almost immediately cured
with proper diagnosis and care. Rest assured that we are well
prepared to keep any of these nuisances from spoiling your day. |
 |
As your
tour guide, I am well versed in sun protection and basic first
aid / preventative medicine for most any situation that arises
while on tour. Unlike in western countries, the local pharmacies
routinely offer excellent medical assistance with prescribing
the correct medications and treatments for almost any nuisance
ailment. Having a tour paramedic is definitely a convenience,
but rarely is it a necessity.

Breakdowns and Roadside Repairs
 |
What
can I say, they happen for any number of uncontrollable reasons.
Fortunately, we seldom experience either due to the superior
preventative maintenance program we have established in caring
for our motorcycles as well as the exceptional quality of or
bikes. |
 |
Due to
the abundance of motorcycles on the road in the Philippines and
the fact that few Filipinos ever perform any preventative
maintenance, a
decent mechanic is never more than a few kilometers away. When
traveling in a small group without an on-board mechanic, we can
still deal with most any issue that would arise without
significantly impacting the tour schedule and itinerary.

Security
 |
The
Philippines is a very peaceful country and crime here is pretty
much reduced to petty thievery and political election related
violence. In fact, you are much more likely to be a victim of
crime in Europe or North America than here. Security is even
less of an issue when traveling in a small group of 2 to 4
motorcycles but larger groups do have a slightly higher
potential of drawing attention. |
 |
Traveling to a foreign
country in this day and time is in itself an issue of
security from terrorist threats. We are all reminded of
this whenever we go thru airport security, even on
domestic travels. Although you
are much more likely to be a victim of terrorist
activity in the USA or Europe than here, we still
consider security as a priority and our tour routes have been
carefully planned out to avoid any areas where there would be an
increased security risk. |
 |
Having
a security guard as escort serves more to calm a worryful mind
than anything else but never-the-less, we can provide this
amenity if it is requested and for large tour groups, his
assistance in transporting baggage, gassing-up and washing bikes
is much appreciated. |
